Shelby Proseus earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Gender, Ethnic and Multicultural Studies in June of 2017 from California State Polytechnic University Pomona in Poway, California. She subsequently was employed as a Social Justice Leader for the Woman’s Center at CA State Polytechnic University in Pomona and, more recently, served as a Benefits Advisor for Aflac in San Diego. She has experience mentoring and managing high school students through a program called “Upward Bound”. She is fluent in Spanish and continues to make good progress teaching herself Italian. She was twice awarded the CMSA scholarship for her written essays, one on body image and obeisity, the other on the challenges college students face.
Shelby’s position at Serenity Counseling and Assessment Services LLC includes community outreach to public and private venues that seek to learn more about the unique emotional health services we strive to make available to pregnant women, very young children and their caregivers.
